The exploitation 200,000 KW of wind power in Beijing, which will finished 100 thousand KW before 2008, with the daily production of 600 thousand KWH, specially supply to the Olympic gymnasium, And then set up a 30KW photovoltaic power station which for the use of Olympic gymnasium lighting and Air-Condition.
China preserves exploitable water resources of 400 million KW, yearly capacity of 1.7 trillion KW. Among which micro hydro power reserves that under 50 thousand KW is 125 million KW, and widely distributed. By the end of 2004, the installed capacity of hydro power in China had reached 108.26 million KW, with hydro power of 34.1 million.

Quantity of resource of firewood, timberland and waste from wood processing, equals 300 million ton standard coal. At present, China produce 120 million tons household garbage, this figure will reach to 210million in the year of 2020. If used to produce gas or generate electricity, it can save 13 million tons standard coal every year. |
